Mona Fine is a Senior Counsel at Employer Defense Group, LLC and has extensive experience in defending workers’ compensation claims throughout California. Her practice includes an emphasis in defending labor contractors, employers, staffing companies, and professional employer organizations; specifically, litigating coverage and employment issues including pro rata coverage, and asserting applicable defenses. Mona’s nickname is “the closer” due to her high success in resolving new claims prior to, and at depositions. Mona cares a lot about her work and highly values constant and effective communication with her clients.
Mona completed her undergraduate studies from La Sierra University in Riverside, California, in 2008, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and graduated with Cum Laude honors. In college, she was the President of the Speech and Debate Team and traveled around Southern California participating in parliamentary debates against other college students. Mona obtained her Juris Doctorate Degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2013, with an emphasis in Trial Practice. In law school, Mona worked as a Certified Law Clerk for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office and clerked for the Federal District Court for the Honorable Judge Valerie Fairbank.
During her free time, Mona enjoys lagree fitness, traveling, adventure dining, and spending time with her family. Mona is a big fan of Disney and has had the unique opportunity of visiting 5 Disney adventure parks.
