Elsen earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Western State University College of Law. He has been practicing workers’ compensation law since being admitted to the California State Bar in 2009 and is a Certified Specialist in workers’ compensation law.

Prior to joining the team at EDG, Elsen held the position of Deputy County Counsel where he represented County of Los Angeles in the defense of workers’ compensation claims. He has extensive experience representing large scale employers – experience that he gained while working for one of California’s largest workers compensation defense firms. Elsen has experience handling all aspects of Workers’ Compensation claims including death claims, life pension claims, post-termination claims, and 132a claims.

Aside from his impressive track record of success litigating workers’ compensation matters, assertive approach to identifying and overcoming complex case issues to achieve swift resolution of claims, and exceptional communication skills, he cultivates a great deal of valuable skills that are essential to the worker’s compensation arena.

Outside of work, Elsen is a dedicated family man who is married to his amazing wife, Jennifer. They have one son, Harrison. Elsen is a film buff and an avid sports fan.
